The repowered Carland Cross Windfarm is located near Newquay in Cornwall. It was one of the first wind farms installed in the UK and it has been operating successfully since its completion in 1992.

In January 2010, ScottishPower Renewables was granted permission to repower the site, removing the existing 15 turbines and replacing them with ten newer machines. Construction is now complete, seeing the site generate 20 megawatts of cleaner greener power. The official opening ceremony took place in October 2013, details of which can be found here.
